Sinopsis. / Synopsis.

A partir de las historias de los pueblos de España que fueron abandonados por la construcción de embalses, «Esta sensación de olvido» construye un paisaje. Encontramos un antiguo bar donde aún quedan las voces y objetos de quienes ya no están. La última habitante del pueblo ha convertido este lugar en una trinchera frente al olvido. Una inspectora llega para advertir sobre el peligro de permanecer aquí, pero se enreda con sus propias raíces y no puede salir. Aquí los vivos conviven con los muertos, y las historias, sueños y miedos del pasado toman presencia y voz. Los personajes que forman este espacio en peligro se debaten entre la memoria y el olvido y buscan qué hacer con lo que fue, lo que pudo ser y lo que ya no es. «Esta sensación de olvido» construye un paisaje donde lo rural y lo urbano, lo antiguo y lo moderno, el pasado y el futuro se confunden.

Based on the stories of Spanish villages abandoned due to the construction of reservoirs, «Esta sensación de olvido» builds a landscape. We find an old bar where the voices and objects of those who are no longer there still remain. The last inhabitant of the village has turned this place into a trench against oblivion. An inspector arrives to warn of the danger of staying there, but becomes entangled in her own roots and cannot leave. Here, the living coexist with the dead, and the stories, dreams, and fears of the past take presence and voice. The characters inhabiting this endangered space are caught between memory and oblivion, searching for what to do with what was, what could have been, and what no longer is. «Esta sensación de olvido» constructs a landscape where the rural and the urban, the old and the modern, the past and the future blend together.

Biografía. / Biography.

Autora, directora de escena e investigadora vasca. Tras completar su doctorado en Arte y Conflictos Ambientales (2023) decide volcarse plenamente al teatro y es seleccionada en la X Edición del Máster en Creación Teatral dirigido por Juan Mayorga, donde dirige y escribe Esta sensación de olvido que estrena en septiembre de 2024 y hace temporada en diciembre de 2024 en Nave73 (Madrid). Sus creaciones destacan por el foco en la memoria, lo fantasmal, el contraste urbano-rural y los espacios críticos desde una mirada femenina. Ha estudiado dramaturgia y dirección de escena con maestros como Laila Ripoll, Denise Duncan, José Sanchis-Sinisterra, Pablo Messiez, Pablo Remón y María Velasco. En Barcelona, fue parte de la compañía ERRO Grupo en el espectáculo itinerante No hay citas disponibles, beneficiario de subvenciones del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona. Además, ha sido beneficiaria de las Beques per la Recerca i la Innovació de la Generalitat de Catalunya y del programa Procreació. En 2020, fue co-fundadora y directora de la Cía. Arkana Colectiva, con quien estrenó la obra Espejismos en el Festival Mutis 2020 en Barcelona. En 2019, estrenó en Nau Bostik su pieza individual Ser Raíz Errante en el marco del Young Gallery Weekend. Su primer cortometraje En Tierra Mineral fue galardonado en el Festival SDG Film Festival 2021 y proyectado en Expo2020 Dubai.

Basque author, stage director, and researcher. After completing her Ph.D. in Art and Environmental Conflicts (2023), she decided to fully dedicate herself to theater and was selected for the 10th Edition of the Master's in Theatrical Creation directed by Juan Mayorga. There, she directed and wrote This Feeling of Forgetting, which premiered in September 2024 and had a season run in December 2024 at Nave73 (Madrid). Her creations are characterized by a focus on memory, the ghostly, the urban-rural contrast, and critical spaces from a feminine perspective. She has studied dramaturgy and stage direction with mentors such as Laila Ripoll, Denise Duncan, José Sanchis-Sinisterra, Pablo Messiez, Pablo Remón, and María Velasco. In Barcelona, she was part of the company ERRO Grupo in the itinerant show No hay citas disponibles (No Appointments Available), which received grants from the Barcelona City Council. Additionally, she has been a beneficiary of the Generalitat de Catalunya's Beques per la Recerca i la Innovació and the Procreació program. In 2020, she co-founded and directed the company Arkana Colectiva, with which she premiered the play Espejismos (Mirages) at the Mutis Festival 2020 in Barcelona. In 2019, she premiered her solo piece Ser Raíz Errante (To Be a Wandering Root) at Nau Bostik during the Young Gallery Weekend. Her first short film, En Tierra Mineral (In Mineral Land), was awarded at the SDG Film Festival 2021 and screened at Expo2020 Dubai.

Escritura. / Style.

«Intento escribir cada día, en cuadernos, notas del móvil, en papel de sucio, y en diarios que guardo en un cajón. Escribo cosas que pierdo, cosas que nunca leo y cosas que se convierten en material para algo más. Escribo por costumbre, por curiosidad y por necesidad. Escribo historias imaginadas desde historias y espacios reales. Busco los espacios que hacen palabras y las palabras que hacen espacios. Las palabras de los espacios nuevos, los espacios antiguos y los espacios en peligro, los espacios otros. Escribo, reescribo y vuelvo a escribir, borro mucho y ordeno tarde.» (Teresa Sanz).

«I try to write every day—in notebooks, mobile notes, scraps of paper, and diaries I keep in a drawer. I write things I lose, things I never read, and things that become material for something else. I write out of habit, curiosity, and necessity. I write imagined stories from real stories and spaces. I look for the spaces that create words and the words that create spaces. The words of new spaces, ancient spaces, endangered spaces, other spaces. I write, rewrite, and write again; I erase a lot and organize late.» (Teresa Sanz).
