Biografía.

Se autodefine como prostituta teatral. Licenciado en Dramaturgia por la RESAD y creador de más de una treintena de textos entre obras de teatro, cortometrajes y relatos varios. Su escritura siempre ha estado orientada hacia la dramaturgia, aunque también ha trabajado de director y de actor para televisión, cine en pequeño formato y teatro. Acreedor de diversos premios tanto en dramaturgia (I Premio Villa de Pinto de Textos teatrales, 2006. Accésit Premio Sgae de teatro, 2010) como en relatos cortos (Finalista en el VII Certamen literario "Ser Peter Pan", Ganador del I Premio "Tinta, sangre y vino", ambos en 2012) y de forma indirecta de otros más. Actualmente vive en San Martín de la Vega, Madrid, junto a su esposa y sus cuatro hijos.

Escritura.

«Escribo por vicio y placer. Generalmente escribo por encargo y formo parte del engranaje teatral. Mis textos son generalmente realistas y usan, en muchas ocasiones, como centro personajes reales sobre los que fabulo historias inventadas, siempre bajo el sustento de la biografía de los mismos. En la escritura soy muy visceral y mis personajes se nutren de juegos de palabras, algo de patetismo y siempre humor. He trabajado los clásicos, tanto en verso como en prosa, el stand up comedy y practico, cuando el tiempo lo permite, el microteatro. Mi actividad como dramaturgo no se basa en el arte, se basa en la necesidad escénica, en lo que una compañía quiere llevar a escena y quiere transmitir al espectador; se basa en la absoluta necesidad de escuchar al público y darle algo que tenga la forma de lo que busque, aunque lleve en su interior dosis de lo que no quiere escuchar.» (Ozkar Galán).

«I write out of vice and pleasure. I generally write because I am paid to do it, forming a cog in the theatrical machine. My texts are generally realistic, often based on real people for whom I create imaginary stories, always written in a biographical style. My writing is hugely visceral, fleshing out my characters with puns, a certain poignancy and humour, always. I’ve worked with classic texts (both prose and poetry) and stand-up comedy, and I also dabble in micro theatre when time allows. My playwriting activity is not based on art. Rather, it is founded in the theatrical requirements and the aspects that a company wishes to bring to the stage and transmit to the audience; it is based on the absolute need to listen to the audience and provide them with something that assumes the form of what the thing they are looking for, even if, deep down, it contains doses of the things that they don’t want to hear.» (Ozkar Galán).
