Sinopsis. / Synopsis.

Once upon a time a sofa. Once upon a time Leonor. Sitting there. Talking there. Living loving bleeding there. Being a sofa. My sofa. Your sofa. Our sofa. Be honest: there is always a sofa. We all live in a sofa. We all love there. We all are there. And Leonor, or L. (for short), is not different to us. She is sitting there and asks and tells and looks for –her (sofa). Once upon a time. That’s it.

Notas. / Notes on the piece.

«I’m very interested in the possibilities offered by theatrical language, of “telling without telling”; to remain on the limit of polysemy, with the spectators being left to uncover the true meaning themselves. In the “dramaturgia para la infancia y la juventud” conferences, I am drawn towards complicated topics such as death and solitude: I like to think of my writing as a process of searching and investigating, aiming to work out the best ways of conveying messages. Besides this, I’m passionate about the language of objects (puppets and the like), and the expressive possibilities offered by working with the body, which are found beyond the text itself.» (Lola Fernández de Sevilla).
