Sinopsis. / Synopsis.

Momentos perfectos es una obra inspirada en la vida de Jean-Paul Sartre y en su novela La Náusea. Más allá de esto, es una ficción original en la que el protagonista "Yo" es un célebre escritor que, al igual que Sartre, se está quedando ciego en sus últimos años de vida. Esto hace que tenga que contratar a un asistente para que, además de las tareas domésticas, escriba por él una obra a modo de diario en la que relate sus memorias. Con dicha escritura, "Yo" necesita comprender quién es, de dónde viene la angustia existencial en la que vive y tiene que hacerlo antes de encontrarse con Anny, su amor del pasado, a quien debe hacer frente y explicar lo que en su momento no supo. Mientras tanto, el asistente va ganando poder sobre el espacio y sobre "Yo" hasta el punto de anularlo psicológica y físicamente. Con la llegada de Anny, estas tres relaciones se precipitan hacia una cadena de dependencias y destrucción.

Momentos perfectos is a play inspired by the life of Jean-Paul Sartre and his novel La Náusea. Beyond this, it is an original fiction where the protagonist, “Yo,” is a celebrated writer who, like Sartre, is losing his sight in his later years. This forces him to hire an assistant who, besides handling domestic tasks, must write a play for him in the form of a diary recounting his memories. Through this writing, “Yo” seeks to understand who he is and the origin of the existential anguish that haunts him, all before facing Anny, his past love, to whom he must finally confront and explain what he once could not. Meanwhile, the assistant gradually gains control over the space and “Yo” himself, ultimately psychologically and physically nullifying him. With Anny’s arrival, these three relationships spiral into a chain of dependence and destruction.

La escritura de Momentos perfectos, nace del deseo de experimentar los límites de lo dramático. Investigar en esa frontera entre lo narrativo, lo filosófico y lo puramente teatral. Nace de la pregunta de ¿cómo se traduce un mundo de ideas en acción y conflicto? ¿Cómo hacerlo no solo desde la fábula sino también desde la estructura? En este viaje de investigación me encontré con textos como el de El imprompto de Ohio, de Beckett o El lector por horas, de Sanchis Sinisterra. Textos donde se confirma que lo filosófico no está reñido con lo dramático, al contrario, adquiere una dimensión humana, trascendental y elocuente.

The writing of Momentos perfectos arises from the desire to explore the boundaries of the dramatic. It investigates the frontier between the narrative, the philosophical, and the purely theatrical. It stems from the question: how can a world of ideas be translated into action and conflict? How can this be achieved not only through fable but also through structure? In this journey of exploration, I encountered texts such as Ohio Impromptu by Beckett and El lector por horas by Sanchis Sinisterra. These works confirm that the philosophical is not at odds with the dramatic; on the contrary, it acquires a human, transcendent, and eloquent dimension.

Biografía. / Biography.

Aurora Parrilla Camacho inicia su recorrido artístico en la danza. Por ello, decide estudiar Bachillerato de Artes Escénicas en el I.E.S. Antonio Machado de Alcalá de Henares. Es allí donde descubre su vocación teatral, recibiendo formación del pedagogo, dramaturgo y director Javier De Dios. Se interesa principalmente por la interpretación y realiza talleres basados en el método de Mijaíl Chéjov impartidos por David Ojeda. En 2016 asiste al III Taller de Dramaturgia de La Joven Compañía coordinado por Fernando J. López, donde tiene encuentros con distintos dramaturgos contemporáneos, y en 2017 comienza su carrera de Dirección Escénica y Dramaturgia en la RESAD. Desde entonces concilia su labor de dramaturga y directora, concibiendo ambas tareas como indisolubles en sus procesos creativos.

Aurora Parrilla Camacho began her artistic journey through dance, which led her to study Performing Arts for her Baccalaureate at I.E.S. Antonio Machado in Alcalá de Henares. It was there that she discovered her passion for theatre, receiving training from pedagogue, playwright and director Javier De Dios. Drawn especially to acting, she took workshops based on Michael Chekhov’s method, taught by David Ojeda. In 2016, she took part in the 3rd Playwriting Workshop of La Joven Compañía, coordinated by Fernando J. López, where she met various contemporary playwrights. The following year, she began her studies in Directing and Playwriting at RESAD. Since then, she has combined her work as a playwright and director, understanding both roles as inseparable in her creative process.

Escritura. / Style.

«Escribo para comprender. Comprender me lleva a perdonar o a perdonarme con aquello que me duele. Mis creaciones nacen de una necesidad reconciliadora con el mundo en el que vivimos, con los acontecimientos que vemos, sufrimos o provocamos. Son algo así como una oportunidad de desahogo y denuncia. También es un lugar de investigación, de poner en cuestión las realidades que se nos cuentan como verdaderas en nuestro día a día, debatirlas en público, hacer reflexionar, traspasar fronteras y encontrar luces y sombras en aquellos lugares que nos son desconocidos. En mis textos he tratado temas como la violencia machista, la búsqueda de la verdad, las estructuras de poder, el desapego y el miedo al paso irrevocable del tiempo. A la hora de escribir tengo muy presentes a Antón Chéjov y Harold Pinter, siendo para mí, no solo referentes tanto de estilo como de temas, sino también impulsores de que hoy por hoy quiera dedicarme a la dramaturgia.» (Aurora Parrilla Camacho).

My creations are born from a reconciliatory need: to make peace with the world we live in, with the events we witness, endure, or even cause. They are a way to vent, to denounce. They are also a space for inquiry, for questioning the so-called truths we’re told in our daily lives—questioning them publicly, provoking reflection, crossing boundaries, and finding light and shadow in the places we don't yet know. My work has explored themes such as gender-based violence, the search for truth, power structures, emotional detachment, and the fear of time’s irreversible passing. When I write, I always have Anton Chekhov and Harold Pinter in mind—not only as stylistic and thematic references, but as the very reason I chose to pursue playwriting.» (Aurora Parrilla Camacho).
